The short version
Better Build LLC recruits trade crews for repair and renovation work in Toledo, Ohio. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site or apply, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what you give us and what we need to run the site, we use it to follow up about work, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you submit an application, we collect what you put in the form: your name, phone number, email (optional), the trades you work, and anything you add in the notes. We don't collect any of this until you choose to submit. Like most sites, our hosting provider also automatically logs basic technical data — your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit — to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to review your application and to contact you about work with Better Build crews. We may reach you by phone, text, or email at the contact details you provide — see the “Text messages” section below for how texting works. We also use the basic technical data above to operate, protect, and improve the site.
Text messages
If you opt in to texts, messages may be sent by a Better Build crew lead or by an automated system, and only about your application and your work with our crews. Message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out anytime by replying STOP. We do not share or sell your phone number or your text-messaging consent to anyone for their own marketing — that information stays with Better Build and the providers we use to actually send the messages.
Cookies & analytics
We don't currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If we add any, we'll name the tool here and link its opt-out before turning it on. The site may use a small number of cookies needed to keep it running; most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and the site will still work. We don't respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out where applicable.
We never sell your information
Better Build does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the people at Better Build who need it to follow up on your application, with service providers who help us run the site and reach you (for example, messaging or hosting providers), and where the law requires it.
How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including serving the site over HTTPS. No method of sending or storing data online is 100% secure, so we can't promise perfect security, but we work to keep what you share safe.
How long we keep it
We keep applications for 5 years after your last activity with us; after that, inactive applicants are deleted from our system. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact below.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you submitted, or tell us to stop contacting you, at any time. Just reach out and we'll take care of it.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, your state's privacy law may give you the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to limit how we process it. We don't sell or share your personal information. To make a request, email legal@betterbuild.team with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We'll verify your identity using the contact information you submitted, and we'll respond within 45 days.
Children's privacy
This site is meant for tradespeople applying for work and isn't directed to minors. You must be at least 18 to apply, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
